Overview
Three Sisters Ecofarm is a permaculture and sustainable forestry project under development on 30 acres of land in Danbury, NH. Our vision is to manage the land in an ecologically appropriate manner that benefits both humans and wildlife. Based on this vision and on the soils and ecology of the land, we are utilizing roughly 10 acres for a fruit and nut tree orchard and pasture-raised animals, and have set aside the remaining 20 acres for sustainable forestry and low-impact recreation with a goal to restore habitat and food sources for native wildlife.
Project goals
Sustainable Farming: Provide a source of local, healthy food for our families and community that is grown in a manner that is in balance with the local ecosystem.
Ecological Restoration: Restore native habitat and food sources for native species.
Education & Community: Facilitate low-impact and sustainability-focused learning and recreational opportunities for family, friends, and visitors.
Ecotourism: Support local ecotourism by offering meaningful ways for visitors to connect with nature and enjoy the scenic beauty of the region.
