Land Acknowledgement
Three Sisters Ecofarm is located on N’dakinna, which is the traditional ancestral homeland of the Abenaki, Pennacook and Wabanaki Peoples past and present. We acknowledge and honor with gratitude the land and waterways and the alnobak (people) who have stewarded N’dakinna throughout the generations.
We also stand in solidarity with indigenous communities who are struggling for sovereignty and self-determination today. We recognize that indigenous traditions offer valuable insight on how to live in harmony with nature and how to grow and gather food in low-impact and sustainable ways. As we collectively struggle to relearn these important concepts, the voices of indigenous leaders will be a critical source of guidance in creating a sustainable future in which all life can thrive.
